Explore Historica’s Map Builder – Closed Beta for Researchers
The Historica team is excited to introduce Map Builder, a powerful new tool for creating custom historical maps. We’re inviting a select group of professional testers to explore it in our closed beta. 🛠️
Whether you’re an academic researcher, a teacher preparing educational materials, or a history enthusiast, Map Builder gives you the flexibility to explore historical geography in depth and craft your version of history.
What is Map Builder?
Map Builder lets you create historical maps by combining Historica’s data with your sources. It gives you full control over your maps, making it ideal for researchers, educators, and history enthusiasts alike. 📚
With Map Builder, you can:
1. Focus on a specific geographic area for research or presentations.
2. Edit country names and borders to match historical realities or explore hypothetical scenarios.
3. Add, modify, or remove cities for different time periods.
4. Customize political and geographic features to fit your project.
5. Build your own historical timelines and interpretations to show how regions could have evolved.
We’re now inviting researchers with a Master’s or PhD in Digital Humanities, History, or a related field to join our closed beta. 🎓
If you’d like to participate, email us at info@historica.org.
